The origin of photovoltaics
Since the French scientist E. Becquerel discovered the photovoltaic effect of liquid (referred to as photovoltaic phenomenon) in 1839, solar cells have gone through a long development history of more than 180 years.
The principle of photovoltaic system
Solar photovoltaic system is divided into photothermal power generation and photovoltaic power generation. Generally speaking, solar power generation refers to solar photovoltaic power generation, referred to as "photoelectric".
Photovoltaic power generation is a technology that directly converts light energy into electrical energy by utilizing the photovoltaic effect of the semiconductor interface. The key element of this technology is the solar cell.
After the solar cells are connected in series, they can be packaged and protected to form a large-area solar cell module, and then combined with power controllers and other components to form a photovoltaic power generation device.
Main components of photovoltaic system
There are three main components of photovoltaic power generation system:
1. Photovoltaic modules: absorb light energy and convert it into electrical energy;
2. Photovoltaic inverter: converts the direct current generated by the components into alternating current;
3. Photovoltaic combiner box: Connect the DC cables of the solar cell modules in series, and then combine them, and have the functions of lightning protection and high-voltage fuse protection;
The sun shines on the photovoltaic modules, and the direct current formed in each photovoltaic string due to the photovoltaic effect converges on the side of the combiner box, and then is transmitted from the combiner box to the photovoltaic inverter, and the direct current is inverted by the photovoltaic inverter to meet the needs of household use. Electric 220V or 380V AC.
The alternating current formed by the inverter is connected to the household load in the distribution box of the household itself through the metering meter, and the excess electricity that is not used up in real time will be transmitted to the national grid through the two-way metering meter.
